5 things you dont know about me tag!
20/12/2006David Churbuck has tagged me to 5 things you dont know about me. Considering the torrid relation (and very soon heading towards splitsville) I’ve been having with his company (Lenovo), I must say David would have been the last person I would have expected a tag from.
Before you go “Oh no, not again about Lenovo!”, I assure, I love tags hehe, and no, it will not be another anti-rant. On the contrary this gives me a great opputrunity to tell you about 5 things of myself which you’ve rather not known in the first place hehehehehe. So here goes – Ahem – Drum rolls -DHISSSSSH!
5 – I sincerely believe Bill Watterson is God, and Calvin and Hobbes are his messengers. Cheesy eh? No. I mean it. I think life should be as simple as Calvin and Hobbes lead it (or as complicated). The world is simply too complicated and inane. Stupendous Man is our only hope. Oh WAIT! The name of this blog must have pretty much given it away.
No cant do. Restart. Here goes:
5 – I dont lose my temper easily, but if I do, I do bad. I am generally peaceful by nature and will let you live by yourself, but something or someone bugs the crap out of me, I lose my temper. And I get downright nasty and rude. Its not easy to piss me off, but if I am, I can be bad. Eh? Nasty Nasty evil Suyog eh? Moi liketh the feeling of evil. And I like doing evil things when I am pricked. Hehehe.
4 – I believe that blogging is like screaming at a blank wall.
3 – I am a big advocate of “Customer is the king” paradigm. And this I’ve learnt when I was actually doing technical support in my last company which was a wireless ISP. Once a customer called me and complained that his wireless internet connection did not work. I rambled on and on and on about how our backend network was down, and how our upstream network provider was trying to get connectivity to us, and how we could not resolve it immediately. His reponse to it was – “Well, my internet connection doesn’t work”.
And it stuck me. He was right. I wish I had some answer for him that day. By the time we had fixed our issues, we had lost him as a customer. And for a start-up, every single customer counted.
2 – I am very observant. To most people who dont know me, I come accross as a very aloof, almost I-dont-care type. But its exactly far from the opposite. I observe even the minutest detail that others may overlook. And I usually look way ahead than others do. Thats probably when I am a good Test Engineer!
Talk about self promotion eh? No.
1 – I am a pessimist. I live 20 minutes away from White House and George Bush. What could be worse?
All right! Whom should I tag? All the regulars I suppose
– jEDI, Nirwa, Severe Anomaly, Manasi and Greatbong
Thanks David for the tag!
