Lenovo = No Love

21/12/2006

I still can’t get over Jedi’s brilliant anagram!

Jeez – this is so freaking true!

Lenovo = No Love.

I hope someone at Lenovo Blogs also reads this:

Joel from UK paid 3000 pounds for his T42p Laptop. That is like 5876$ Laptop.

And this is what he had to say about his troubles with the Laptop:

The T42p cost me the thick end of £3000. I will quite honestly say that I have not had a £3000 laptop in the slightest – maybe it’s just a Friday afternoon build but so far it’s had replaced: the motherboard (twice), the LCD (four times), the hard disk (once) and the keyboard (once).

WOW! A 6000$ Laptop gets that kind of shitty service! What was I thinking having spent 700$ on this laptop! I feel so sorry for Joel, and myself. Jesus – Had I read his experience beforehand, I would not have purchased this crap, let alone go through the nuisance. I hope David and his team get to read Joel’s sorry story.

Dang! 6000$ Laptop and this service. I can’t get over this! LOL.

    We did read it. Three weeks ago. And we took care of his problem.
    This is what he also said:
    “A quickie (‘cos I’m busy) but I’ve just had an email from IBM/Lenovo saying that a replacement laptop has been authorised. Much woo, yay, and happiness right now :)

    Sorry you’re so unhappy with your experience.

    @David: That’s nice to know David :D – After 6000 bucks and 2 motherboard changes, 4 lcd changes, and1 hdd change, that was probably the least (and sooner mayhaps) Lenovo should have done.

    Sadly (& frankly) I wouldnt have the patience or understanding Joel has either. Or wait, did his blog have something to do with getting your attention LOL.

    And frankly why should I? Even a manufacturer like Toshiba gives me excellent service on my 1400$ TV. In the third month of buying the TV, the TV began to have a lamp problem, which was resolved in one call to Toshiba.

    Not only that, next week I got a call from Toshiba and they sent home a TV engineer who calibrated my TV set and checked for any other part that could have gone wrong.

    And want more? They even increased my Warranty from 1 year to 2 years without questions asked.

    Now, that David, is customer service. Dont feel too proud that Lenovo took care of Joel’s problem after months of endless ranting hehe :) . Or wait, that probably is the standard of Lenovo anyways :D .
